The Designer

The designer,Chimene Liburd Brown has always had an interest in artistic creations. At a very early age, Chimene witnessed the creativity of her grandmother, Floyd D. Liburd create masterfully designed quilts. Melding different colors and shapes of fabrics into works of art fascinated Chimene. She has always wanted to use that early education of crochet, knitting, quilting and garment sewing with her Grandmother in some way. Designing jewelry has allowed Chimene to touch that creative side as well as to impart that same feeling of amazement, joy and fascination of things that are beautiful. Her inspiration comes from art from ancient civilizations, nature and the latest fashion designs and colors.

Twenty Pearls & Gems was started in 2006. The Artisan Jeweler has mastered several jewelry art forms and continues to learn new and innovative ways to make fascinating and exciting jewelry. The jewelry created is unique to Twenty Pearls & Gems. The designer also accepts special requests to create commissioned jewelry for special occasions and events.

In addition to jewelry, Chimene, the designer has a full-time job caring for her 3 children as well as maintaining an Internal Medicine Practice.
